CONDRE Storage's X12 SAS Expander
The X12 is a 12 port SAS expander that can utilize either SAS or SATA devices. It has 12 300MB/Sec SAS ports that can be used as either Target or Initiator. You can cascade multiple X12 boards together to connect up to 120 SAS or SATA devices per host connection. It can be used for Hard Drives or removable media devices like DVD-R drives or Tape Drives. The X12 can also be used as a crossbar SAS switch connecting multiple servers up to the same storage. Configurations of single and dual data paths are available. We have 2 standard JBOD configurations available... a 2U 9 drive JBOD and a 4U 16 drive JBOD. We are also able to offer many different custom configurations as well as selling just the SAS Expander by itself. It can also be used to connect many DVD-R drives together and write to them at the same time with the proper mastering software.
